About Sant Llorenç on the march against cancer

Are you looking for a meaningful way to spend a spring afternoon in Mallorca? Join the community of Sant Llorenç for a powerful cause. On April 25th, the "Sant Llorenç en marxa contra el càncer" returns, offering you a chance to walk, connect, and support cancer research and support services. This non-competitive 4km march is designed for everyone—whether you are an avid walker, a family with young children, or simply someone who wants to contribute to a vital cause while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the island's eastern region.

The journey begins at 17:00 at the Estació de Sant Llorenç. From there, you will embark on a scenic route toward the sports center in Son Carrió. It is not about speed; it is about solidarity. As you walk, you will feel the incredible spirit of the local community. The event is much more than just a walk; it is a celebration of life and community strength. You can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere filled with local culture. Sa Xerabanda will provide the soundtrack with lively music, ensuring your spirits remain high throughout the afternoon. Additionally, you will have the chance to witness the "ball de bot," a traditional Mallorcan dance performed by the Agrupació Folklòrica Sa Torre, adding a touch of local heritage to this charitable occasion.

Once you reach the finish line at the Son Carrió sports center, the festivities continue with food and drink stalls where you can refuel and socialize with fellow participants. Your registration fee of 8€ is a direct contribution to the fight against cancer. In return, you will receive a commemorative t-shirt to wear during the march, full insurance coverage for the event, as well as fresh fruit and water to keep you hydrated. It is a fantastic opportunity for families, as children up to 11 years old can participate for free when accompanied by an adult. Please note that the event is limited to 500 participants to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, so make sure you secure your spot early. Come along, wear your walking shoes, and help make a difference in Sant Llorenç!
